… to join Hans and Lynn to walk the first quarter of the Via Francigena from Canterbury in the UK to Chalons en Champagne in France. This is a follow-up from the previous Lausanne to Rome trek (the second half of the Via) we all did in 2023.
Roughly, this is the route we’ll be taking with a few variations to keep us on the traditional route… about 520km/325miles.

After finishing the hike, we’ll spend a couple of days in Paris, then Lynn and I will head to Morocco and will be joined my daughter Beth, and two of Lynn’s friends (Beth & Loie) for a food tour, starting in Casablanca and finishing in Marrakech.
Gary will head off to US to do a road trip with two mates, Terry and Chris. Hans will head home to Oreo, their cat.
Have a wonderful trip. According to the map at least it’s all downhill🤣🤣
