Stage 23 Thursday 16 Oct: Verzy to Conde-sur-Marne 20km/12.5m)

The penultimate leg of this hike! It was a moving day for us today, changing from Reims to Matougues (about 15km from Châlons en Champagne). Consequently we walked the route backwards to minimise car shuffling. Most of the first half was along the Canal de l’Aisne à la Marne, then up through the fields and forests to the vineyards of Verzy again.
